Adam Stenavich

NFL Draft News

Adam Stenavich OL 6’5 321 Michigan
By: Robert Davis

Adam Stenavich has been a standout college performer since his freshman season. At left tackle, he earned Freshman All-American honors, along with Freshman All Big 10 honors. He’s remained there throughout his career, and has moved on to All Big 10 1st team honors since.

Michigan seems to recruit toughness, because all there offensive lineman possess it. Stenavich is no exception. He does not back down from anyone, and will battle until the whistle blows. He plays with excellent technique. He has good balance and quick hands to keep defenders contained in the passing game, and gets good leverage in run blocking. Once he locks on to a defender in the run game, there will be a hole wherever he is at. Stenavich also brings versatility to the game. He is very experienced at left tackle, but has the strength and toughness to play RT or OG at the next level.

Stenavich is only an average athlete. His technique allows him to keep guys at bay most of the time, but there are plays where you need that ability to counter, and he just cannot do that. He has a ton of experience at LT, but he probably will not play there at the next level.

There are a lot of quality tackles in this years draft, so Stenavich does not rate out as a premium draft pick. He is a very solid right tackle prospect though, and should be able to play immediately at the next level. Most teams fall in love with upside, so Stenavich may not rate very high on some teams boards, but he will contribute to whatever team is smart enough to draft him.
