Stanford Keglar LB 6'2 239 Purdue 4.58

Keglar had an impressive freshman season tallying 61 tackles, four for loss, 1.5 sacks and an interception. As a sophomore his numbers dipped a bit, down to 50/3/1 and an interception. As a junior, Keglar had 69 tackles, two for loss, and a pick on the year. He closed out his Boilermaker career with a career high 70 tackles, four of them coming for a loss.

Keglar is a very good athlete with the speed to chase plays down all over the field. He shows the lateral agility and ability to accelerate to make plays along the line of scrimmage and close on the ball carrier. He is very good at playing in space, reading the action and flying to the football. He brings some versatility playing both weak and s trongside, but may also be able to move inside in a 3-4 defense.

Keglar has the speed and athleticism to make plays but did not make many game changing plays during his career. He has a tendency to overrun plays at times and takes himself out of the action. Keglar will also need to get stronger and develop his ability to shed blocks in the NFL because he can be taken out of plays by physical blockers.

Keglar has the athletic talents and intelligence to play in the NFL. He will need to get stronger to increase his versatility, but he is a solid prospect that could hear his name called in the first four rounds.
