The mousepad for my MacBook Pro is broken.. Making stuff on PS is going to be so much harder with tap-click.

Does anyone use a tablet that allows them to draw on PC/laptop?

I'm looking at getting one but I've no idea how far my bucks will go.

Its not too tough to replace the trackpad on your own, mine cracked, and it was about $60 worth of parts and 10 minutes to fix. I would suggest doing that as opposed to taking it to the apple store, they'll charge you an arm and a leg for the repair.

I do quite often. Wacom is the standard, and they are nice, but as far as money goes, I have this one and I am extremely happy with it.

For the price, you wont get a better tablet. To be honest though, I think I would have preferred to get a smaller one, I think the 8x6 would be best for my taste.

Here's a review:

Wacom Bamboos are the good cheap route if you insist on staying with Wacom, and you won't go wrong there, either. It will cost you a bit more though, especially if you want a big drawing area.

Thanks dude, appreciate it.

Are you a graphic designer or do you use it for something else?

I'm in school right now in the digital media field. Not sure between Graphic Design, Web Development, or Game Development, but all 3 are things I have a good amount of experience with.

Ah cool. I've been using Photoshop for about 4 years so I'm quite skilled in that area but I'm looking to expand into Illustrator and InDesign right now to try and make some money freelancing on the side. That's why I'm looking at getting a tablet to use, been hearing how great they are on the internet.

Yeah if you are any sort of artist its a must, IMO. If you don't do a lot of illustrative designs, you can get by without one, but even if you aren't much of an artist it makes things a lot easier, once you get use to it.

Thats something you might not have read so far though, if you are very used to drawing on paper it will be a very tough transition at first. Very difficult for some people to draw without looking down at what they are drawing on.

I just reminded how active this forum used to be in early to mid 09. I mean I would spend my afternoon here chatting with all you guys and we had so many quality artists.

PatsPwn, BBL, PD21, linus, ringo, CK, eaglez, LOTO, ryk, palooka, blk, sickness, w4rrior, Uno, Waldo, ramster, Jax etc.. (surely missed some and excluded those who still seem active)

The good ol' days, huh.

Right click the image and select copy image url and then go into your profile on FF and paste it in.
